Singer - Charan ji
Charanji, is a devotional singer with a heart-rendering melodious voice. A specialist in singing at prayer meetings (Shadhanjali sabha, kriya uthavani , family functions, etc.), his area of expertise includes ghazals, Sufi songs, and religious hymns. If asked to name his favorite, he would certainly choose BHAJANS through which he can express his innermost love towards the Divine.
He was born and brought up in a conservative business family. Yet against all odds his parents, Shri S. Gurdyal Singh and Smt. Sdn. Harjeet Kaur, always whole-heartedly encouraged and supported his pursuit of music.
His Heartfulness Guru, Chariji Maharaj, said, “A bhajan is meant to evoke within us a certain feeling of love, devotion and have the ability to bring down grace on us”. Charanji’s soulful voice steeped in his own spiritual longing has always enchanted listeners. With years of experience in hand performing all over India and on numerous occasions overseas, language has never been a bar in touching the hearts of his audience. He has skillfully performed in Hindi, Telugu Punjabi, English, Gujarati, Kannada, Urdu, and Tamil.
Charanji devotedly practices Heartfulness meditation currently taught by Daaji and considers this as his gurus’ grace to have been bestowed with this beautiful talent to reach out to humanity. He sings to bring universal love and brotherhood and evokes his listeners to transcend everything that divides us.
He believes, “Music is a vast mystic ocean ruled by the Gods themselves and He is God’s mere vessel trying to explore its realm.
